My interest in photography started while on a business trip to Australia. I spent a two day layover in New Zealand and had never seen anything quite like the NZ scenery, so I excitedly took an abundance of pictures with my point-and-shoot camera.

When I got back home, I reviewed my pictures and thought, “these are terrible!”. The pictures didn’t feel anything like it was to be there. That disappointment inspired me to study how cameras work and led me to purchase my first entry level DSLR camera. I challenged myself to make at least one good photo; within two weeks I had taken a photo that I loved.

Almost nine years later and photography is still my passion.

The photos I make are shot instinctively, my images are very much my own. I love being able to experience a moment, capture it, then share the photos with others so they too can feel my experience.
